REDARC's 52mm Gauge is designed to measure boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature of diesel turbocharged vehicles, keeping you informed of the temperatures being produced by the combustion processes inside your vehicle's cylinders. Excessive exhaust gas temperature can be damaging to your vehicle's engine and turbocharger, and can be caused by a number of conditions such as when you're climbing, pulling a heavy load, or running at continuous high speed. That makes this device a must-have for off-road vehicles, 4WDs, campers, and performance vehicles.
The gauge boasts a number of helpful features including a satin chrome bezel, a display that illuminates when your park lights are on so you can check battery voltages and discharge or charge current without having to turn on the ignition, and programmable alert levels with amber or red backlight and an audible beep. All of these features combine to afford you an unprecedented level of awareness of the health of your engine's combustion process.
The boost pressure function is intended to monitor air pressure in your vehicles manifold, which helps you prevent excessive pressure from being generated. By monitoring boost, you are able to keep the vehicle's engine components in the proper power range to ensure that your vehicle is running at its peak performance level.
The gauge also features a "K" type EGT sensor and electronic boost MAP interface, which offers a peak hold function and a display range from 0-35 PSI. The EGT also incorporates a peak hold function with a range of 275 to 800 degrees Celsius, and is programmable between 500 and 800 degrees Celsius. The sensor has a 1/8" NPT compression fitting as well as a weld in the mounting bung.
The G52-BET gauge is compatible with one of four optional temperature sensors, sold separately. The GS-UT-80 is an NTC temperature sensor in a plastic housing that can be used to measure cabin, fridge or outside temperature. Its range is -20??C ~ + 80 degrees Celsius. The GS-UT-120 is an NTC temperature sensor in a metal copper housing with 6mm diameter mounting hole. It has a range of -20~+120 degrees Celsius. Both of these sensors include a 6-metre extension cable.
The GS-OWT1-4 Water or Oil temperature sender is 1/4 NPT threaded and designed to measure from -20~ +170 degrees Celsius while the GS-OWT1-8 Water or Oil temperature sender features 1/8 NPT threads and measures from -20~ +170 degrees Celsius. Each of these sender units include a 3-metre extension cable. All temperature sensors and water/oil temperature senders are sold separately.
The REDARC Digital Pyrometer and Boost Gauge is delivered with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering faults and material defects.
