Factory Nissan Patrol intercoolers have a number of design flaws that result in frequent split/cracked end tanks, mainly due to their tube and fin design which is prone to splitting at the tube to header joint. This kit serves as a replacement for that system, reducing running engine temperature with its 80% larger surface area compared to factory units as well as the integrated 9" Thermo fan.HPD's intercooler contains tig-welded end tanks in order to last longer, and is mounted with CNC-machined brackets for reliable fitment. This kit is intended as a direct replacement, and is designed to supplant the small OEM cooler.
