Do you like getting to those secluded fishing spots, cruising up the coast or venturing out into deep water for those big fish? The MT600G ensures you remain safe and connected, wherever life takes you. Simply mount one in your water craft and you are never alone. Compact and lightweight, the GPS-equipped MT600G is easy to install in any vessel, utilising the specially designed quick release mounting bracket. It features zero warm-up digital technology and an automatically deployed antenna.

Certified by Cospas-Sarsat for worldwide usage, and boasting a 10 year battery life, the MT600G represents great value for such an important piece of emergency equipment.

How does it Work?

Registration

When you purchase your beacon there are details in the box of the emergency services you need to register with. They will need your details and your next of kin details so they know who to contact when the beacon is activated. This unit is like an insurance policy, good to have and hopefully you never need to use it.

Activation

When you unfortunately need it, simply unclip it from the mounting bracket and activate it. There are simple instructions on the unit and the process is easy. It has a cord on it and ideally tie this to your life jacket or life raft. Do not tie it to your vessel if it is sinking. The unit will float and you want the antenna facing upwards. Make sure it is on deck or clear of the vessel so there is only sky above the antenna. If the water is rough you may need to hold it.

Rescue

The emergency services you registered with pick up the distress signal. They then try contacting you or your next of kin to see if everything is OK. If not they send out the right people to find you. The GPS tracking is good to within 40m so they should have no trouble finding you. It is simply a beacon so there is no voice communication through it. It is important to stay with the beacon. If you need to move take it with you.

The MT600G features a 66 channel GPS receiver with top mounted Quad helix antenna, which means locating the beacon is faster and more accurate than non-GPS EPIRBs. In an emergency, being found quickly could save the lives of you and your crew.

Testing the MT600G is fast and easy. Simply remove the beacon from its bracket, press the test button and the full functionality of the beacon is tested and confirmed. The MT600G even offers a GPS Satellite Acquisition Test with GPS position fix for additional peace of mind.
