By shielding the intake manifold and reducing the heat radiating up from the engine, this shield will lower intake manifold temperatures creating a denser fuel and air mixture hence creating more power. Being adhesive backed, the heavy-duty adhesive will stick to any cleAN semi-smooth surface and will enhance the look and performance of your LS! With oversized front and rear, with some slight trimming it will be a perfect fit to your manifold. Withstands up to 1100°C (2000F) radiant heat & 260°C (500F) of direct heat.
