It is not recommended for Rotary engines.  Semi Synthetic 5W-40 is designed for modern petrol and light duty diesel engines where the use of SAE 5W-30, SAE 10W-30 or SAE 5W-40 grade oils are specified in the owner's handbook. It can be used where API SN is required and where previous API specifications SM (2004-2010), SL (2001-2004) or SJ (1996-2001) were recommended. It can also be used where ILSAC GF-3 \/ GF-4 \/ GF-5 grade oils were specified by the manufacturer.  Semi Synthetic 5W-40 is suitable for use in LPG and light duty diesel engines where API CF, ACEA A3\/B3 or ACEA A3\/B4 is recommended and can be used where ACEA A1\/B1 (obsolete) and ACEA A5\/B5 fuel economy and long service life specifications are requested by the manufacturer. It is NOT suitable for use in diesels fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) that require an ACEA C grade Low-SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus \u0026amp; Sulphur) engine oil.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSemi Synthetic 5W-40 is suitable for use in passenger car, 4WDs \u0026amp; light commercial vehicles. It is NOT recommended for use in four stroke motorcycles with wet clutches. It is compatible with Petrol\/LPG (Dual Fuel), E10, Diesel (without DPF) and most other conventional fuels.
